Air Algérie launches a new route to Berlin
Air Algérie launched a new direct flight on Monday between Algiers’ Houari-Boumediene International Airport and Berlin, with one weekly flight. The launch of this route took place in the presence of officials from the Ministry of the Interior, Local Authorities, and Transport, as well as the German ambassador to Algeria, Georg Felsheim. This new service adds to the four weekly flights already operating to Frankfurt, bringing to five the number of weekly connections Air Algérie provides between Algeria and Germany. With this initiative, the airline aims to strengthen its presence on the German market, make travel between the two countries easier, and support the growth of bilateral exchanges. The new route is also expected to meet the needs of the Algerian community living in Germany. According to Air Algérie, the Algiers-Berlin connection is part of the implementation of the orientations of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune. Its launch comes following the official visit made by the head of state to Germany, during which the creation of this route had been announced. The company also stated that this new connection reflects its desire to continue expanding its international network and strengthen its presence in Europe, supporting the positive momentum in the relations between Algeria and Germany.
